POST V: Changes to my study program
Hi Bloggers!
Regarding my study plan, first of all, I love the curriculum and I am currently in my third semester of studies. Which includes 10 semesters including the practice. Where the first four semesters correspond to a common plan between Social Anthropology, Physical Anthropology and Archaeology, so that I have subjects of the three disciplines at the beginning of the career, and I have to choose at the end of the fourth semester the mention that I will choose to graduate, thus having the other six semesters a specialization of the mention that I chose. Although, there is also the possibility of choosing two mentions, only that instead of finishing the career in ten semesters, it would be finished in twelve, having to do a thesis that integrates the two chosen disciplines.
Also, regarding the methodologies and subjects that I have
to take in these 5 years, as I mentioned at the beginning I have subjects of
each of the three mentions, having field trips with the aim of knowing more
about the career in practice and talks such as interviews with social or
physical anthropologists and archaeologists orienting us of the professional
work, in addition to interviews that we have to do as students in order to
prepare us in the investigative sense of professional work. Also, later in the
fifth semester there is a specialization directed exclusively to the mention,
being more investigative and essays in social anthropology and more practical
in archeology doing excavations and much more biological and forensic in
physical anthropology.
Finally, for me the curriculum is very interesting and complete, so I
would not make any changes.
